Dr. Kravitz is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who graduated first in his class of 721 students. He subsequently received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University. He later received his doctorate of medicine from Tulane University where he graduated top of his class and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in June of 2012.
As well as his expertise in general Ophthalmology, Dr. Kravitz brings to East Texas the latest in cataract surgery techniques and in-office treatment for age-related macular degeneration and other retinal diseases, including diabetes and vascular diseases. During his training, he received several awards for excellence in his field including the 2012 John Dyer Award for teaching and mentorship. He also published several articles for nationally recognized journals. Dr. Kravitz is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association.
